Pequeños retratos

"There is still opportunity to attend to two plays of contemporary dance whose    respective cycles are coming to an end and that should not be missed:"Small portraits", of the Argentine choreographer, who live in Germany, Daniel Goldin and... The first was staged by the Dance Company of the Argentine University of Art (UNA) directed by Roxana Grinstein...
It is difficult to find two plays that are so dissimilar but there is an essence that joins them: a profound and wise work over the creation of movement. We are able to name this essence as choreography because it imagines the space, the shapes, the energies, the communication of movements between the dancers and the location into a given time. If these two works represent a trend or something against a trend will be decided in the future.
In 2013, Daniel Goldin staged a marvelous play, "dark swallows", with the Contemporary Dance Company of the San Martin Theater. This play has a "dance–theater” spirit. "Small portraits", not less beautiful, is a play with more dance than "dark swallows" with more details in the space and shape composition, with more humor but more subtle. It is based in an Ovidio text about the Narcissus legend, but the public is who decide the way in which receive these delicate “portraits” in duets, trios, solos or groups. The UNA dance company responded in a very appropriate manner to the choreographer proposal..."
